Georgia: Where Are We Now?
"A ship without a rudder can, and will, go anywhere!" is an old adage that appropriately describes the present direction of our beloved State of Georgia.
To know how to get where you need to go, you must have a clear understanding of where you are. In the subsections below (Education, the
Economy and Social Issues) I present the case for where Georgia is. Contained in these subsections are many shocking facts that may upset you, or at least deeply concern you.
Regardless of your reaction to the contents of the first three subsections, none of the facts, claims or assertions I submit to you should alarm you as much as the last subsection,
"How We Are Governed". There I disclose to you my answers to the questions I believe you frequently asked yourself while investigating the contents of the first three subsections: "Why do these problems exist? Why are they this bad? Why haven't they been solved? What is being done to solve them?"
If you will take the time and make the effort to read the contents of all four subsections, I am convinced your conclusions will be similar to mine. I concluded that the serious problems facing Georgia are inseparably inter-related. Therefore, solving any single problem will not return Georgia to prosperity and sound fiscal policy. All of the problems identified in each of the subsections must be solved.
Lastly, you will undoubtedly want to know what my solutions are. They can be found under the tab "John's Vision for Georgia". It is a "rudder" that gives the Ship of State of Georgia direction.
Thank you for your interest. Of course, if you believe as I do, it is time for a major change in the way Georgia does business. And, if you are comfortable with me leading that change, I desperately need your support. Click on the Volunteer and Contribute tabs to the left.
